Hopefully It Will Make A Difference

We finally have had some rain recorded over the Eagle River Plateau. When I looked at the weather conditions for last evening and today I noticed that there was some precipitation for 12 of 24 hours. Unfortunately I have no way of determining how much only that there were periods of light rain showers and other periods with rain and a thunderstorm with rain.

With the dry conditions I am sure that the ground and trees will take a good portion of it, but hopefully there will be a slight increase in the water level at least enough to allow easier navigation of the river.

Our veteran angler had his best day of this trip yesterday and hooked several fish before lunch. As for our other guests, our rookie from yesterday has been hooking more fish and has now landed 3 grilse. Many of the others have hooked fish but only some were able to land them. We are working now on their ability to play a fish so it can be landed.
