Steve's new girlfriend...she's 8 months pregnant!!! (larger version)
The lodge is buzzing tonight. The large fish results have continued to be excellent. This evening tales of monster fish are going across the lodge in all directions, and tonight we have a great snap to prove it. But before we get to that, let us tell you about our rookie Norwegian, Eilif...

...This is his first ever salmon fishing vacation and tonight it would be impossible to get the smile off his face. This evening, along with the help of his father and expert guide, Bob Goulding, he landed a huge salmon. They tell the story with a lot of excitement. The fish took at Whale's Back and immediately ran out 300m of his floating line and backing. Too avoid spooling out, Bob pulled anchor and headed down river. They eventually landed the fish in the cove at Bear Island. It could not be measured with a quick comparison to the 36" rule on the boat gunwale. Estimated at 20-22lbs.

So we keep telling you about all these big fish we have been catching here at PFSL this year. And we understand that the truth gets stretched a lot in this business. That's why we always encourage our guests and guides to try to catch the moment on video or still photo. Tonight, there is proof in the pudding! We had two monsters landed this evening. We are trying to find a good still out of a video taken of Eilif's catch. And guest, Steve Clarke, landed this gorgeous hen. Nelson wouldn't risk the fish's health by measuring it. He did a quick pic and back in the water, and here is the result! Enjoy. This one is estimated at 21-23 lbs
