Jim and guide, Hedley, with a 36" salmon. 'Eagle thick'! (larger version)
This has been a great day. The rain slacked, and while it was very chilly at a brisk 5-6 celcius, we did see the sun poke out a few times today!

So the weather improved a little, and the fishing didn't disappoint. Our most novice angler hooked 4 large salmon in her morning session! Lots of other success stories today, but the one that takes the cake would be Jim's. A few days ago he was fighting a large salmon and lost his entire fly line! So when he hooked into another beauty this evening he was thinking…surely it won't happen again!!? Well, it didn't, and he has this pictures of a beautiful 36" hen estimated at 20lbs. Great fish, Jim, and congrats!

The water level is slowly starting to fall, and the water is downright cold! well under 60F.
