Successful Season Comes To An End
Posted 14 August 2010, 8:46 am NDT
Well; we bid a fond farewell to our last guests yesterday and began preparing the Camp for the Winter. Boats to put away, water lines to drain, equipment to store etc.

As we began the process it gave us time to reflect on the season and reminisce about the stories that were told, the fish that were caught, the friends that were made, and the laughs that we had.

This season proved that this Lodge and our Staff is second to none on the River. Our season saw many new anglers land their first Salmon, a testament to our Guides, and many belts extended, a testament to the good food prepared by our kitchen staff.

The Lodge has had many improvements during the year. Anyone who was a guest here before can see the changes as soon as they approach the Lodge from the river.

This season we replaced the stairs, replaced walkways, buried the sewage lines, put paneling on bathroom walls, installed A/C units, dug the well deeper and installed a UV and RO systems to insure a safe water supply, installed pine on the ceiling in the Main Lodge, installed lattice and much more.

These improvements are part of the continuing commitment of the new owners to make our Lodge a more comfortable place to stay when visiting the Eagle. It won't stop there. We have plans to replace the windows in the Main Lodge with larger ones to improve the view of the falls and install more pine on cabin ceilings. There has also been some discussion on re-furbishing the deck and many other ways to make improvements and changes.

Thank-you to our Guests for your patronage. Thank-you to our staff for their hard work. Last but not least, Thank-you to the Eagle River for being one of the best places in the World for Atlantic Salmon Angling

See You On The Eagle!!!
