A slow day
Posted 17 July 2011, 8:43 am NDT
Yesterday was a slow day on the river by comparison to the incredible run of salmon and grilse we seen on thursday and friday. With the river high and the moon full on thursday it was expected that this big run would move through fast.

Yesterday being a hot one and windy for a fly line, the slow action enticed some guests to come ashore in the afternoon, relax with a book, and enjoy some of Janet's fine cooking.

The report this morning seems much better with the first boat ashore hooking 4 fish in the first 1 1/2 hours of the morning before breakfast. The river is dropping steadily and pools are re-forming. Stay tuned for what should be a great week to come!
