Wading Pays Off For Some Anglers
Posted 08 August 2011, 11:38 pm NDT
There are fish in the river but they are harder to catch than they are during the peak run. Much of that is because the river is low and there are not many pools to fish.

The river is now well over 1.25 meters lower than it was a month ago.

The successful anglers were those who were wading into the now low water.

One Eagle River veteran told me that he feels that there are lots of fish in the river. His group have hooked 50 fish since the came here and they did so by wading and being persistent.

If you are agile enough to wade and have some experience you should be able to catch some fish.
