Water Level Continues To Rise
Posted 10 July 2012, 10:10 am NDT
Well, as predicted the water level has continued to rise. Over the past 2 days we have seen the river come up about 16 inches (40 cm) and this trend may continue for the next day or so.

Our anglers are still having success catching fish, but at a slightly lower rate than we typically see this time of the year.

Catching fish on a rising river is always a challenge as fish tend not to hold in the pools for very long. This is further complicated by the fact that we have seen a seal in the river. This is not an unusual sight, but it usually happens in August.

The guests are still persisting and today's early fishing has already been successful. We expect that they will continue to have success through out the day; and are anxious to get a report from our guides after they test the waters in Back River for the first time this season.
