Ray and his 15lber (larger version)
Happy Canada Day from the team here at Pratt Falls Salmon Lodge! We have a lot to be thankful for living in such a great country. And it is quite fitting that Canada Day mark our most successful day of the salmon angling season so far. Today our guest, Ray Smallwood, landed this beautiful 15 lber fresh from the ocean. And we have had several other fish hooked today.

We also had a group go to White Bear again today and they had an incredible day. They had a shore lunch with a grilse that one of the group tagged a couple of days ago. And everyone had success hooking and landing multiple salmon at White Bear.

So the action is picking up! We still have some space left the end of July and first two weeks of August. Given the late arrival of salmon to the river, and high water conditions with fresh rain in the forecast, we are predicting that these weeks are going to provide some stupendous action. The last week of July could very well be one of our best two weeks of the year due to the late runs. We seen it in 2009, this very same thing. The main runs were three weeks late and the fishing during the last week of July and first week of August was the best of the season with incredible hook rates. If you are interested contact Dwight today. all remaining spaces for this season are 25% off for booking with short notice.
