Torrential Downpour!

Water chart for this week...quite a drastic change in the last 36 hours! (larger version)
Over the last couple of days success rates have been up over the last couple weeks of fishing. Our guests have all had multiple hook ups and guides report seeing more fish the last couple of days than all last week combined. Very good considering the low hours on the water yesterday.

And the reason for low number of hours fished...rain! Not just showers, but truly torrential downpour! It rained all day yesterday, and poured very heavy over night. Goose Bay and vicinity are forecasting for 60-90mm rain and it seems to be extending right out to the coast. The river has risen nearly a foot in the last 24 hrs, and we expect it could rise 2-3 feet more given the heavy rainfall. This could put a damper on the fishing action, just when it was starting to pick up again. Time will tell.

We have more new guests arriving today, so we hope the weather cooperates to get them here and get them onto some great fishing!
